Meditation  |  Mindfulness - The Difference

Meditation is the awareness of “no-thing.” Mindfulness is the awareness of “a thing,” 


Meditation and Mindfulness are reflections of each other.  Meditation nurtures and expands Mindfulness, while Mindfulness supports and enriches meditation.  Meditation is practised for a specific time, and Mindfulness can be applied to anytime and situation during the day.


During meditation, you place your focus on your breath, and your mind can wander. Mindfulness teaches you to notice your mind wandering, and bring it back to focus on the task at hand.  Mindfulness is a state of being. It means being present in the moment, and having a non-judgemental awareness of your thoughts, feelings, body, and environment.


Meditation and Mindfulness benefits is that it reduces stress, controls anxiety, improves sleep, enhances self-awareness, may help with depression, promotes emotional health and can generate kindness to yourself and others
